Costiera Amalfitana: a galaxy of little heavens

Campania is among the most popular tourist destinations in Italy, along with Tuscany and Venice, but while most visitors gravitate towards Naples, the Amalfi Coast is a natural and historical paradise for the discerning tourist. Its beauty is multi-faceted and complex, just like its territory. What is commonly known in Italy as Costiera Amalfitana is in fact a myriad of towns and villages, all rich in history and culture and all of stunning natural beauty. Positano is probably the first name that will readily spring to mind when talking about the Costiera,  there are several other fantastic locations that you might want to visit. From quaint and beautiful fishing villages such as Cetara and Conca dei Marini, to the lovely little towns of the inland, such as Tramonti (literally “between mountains”), on account of being encased in the majestic profile of the Lattari Mountains.
