Sartoria Bassani is an Italian dressmaker studio, founded by Fabiana and Daniela Bassani in Finale Ligure in 1980 and moved to Milan in 1985. The Bassani sisters have been working in wedding fashion for 35 years, producing countless magnificent creations.

Fabiana and Daniela are still deeply in love with this particular type of fashion and their greatest joy comes from being able to share the magic and the joy of each unique wedding with other women. They make a mission out of each assignment, helping and guiding each client and making sure every bride gets the perfect wedding dress.

The Bassani sisters have a firm belief in the fact that the whole process depends on the fabric: choosing the right fabric means setting everything in motion and determining how the cutting and the fitting will work out and ultimately how the dress will “come to life”.

They welcome the brides-to-be in their atelier and show them their collections, but they still customise each individual creation, because every woman has her own body and her own story, which the dress should be a part of.

This belief in a custom-made approach and in listening to and taking into account each client’s needs, has kept the Bassani atelier very much rooted in craftsmanship. Daniela and Fabiana will listen to each bride’s desires and hopes, to their dreams for a perfect wedding.

They want to know how each woman imagines her wedding day, so that their advice can be meaningful and on point. Once the dress is ready, after the last fitting is over, their highest satisfaction comes from the knowledge that a client has found exactly what she was looking for.

Over the past 30 years, their dresses have become a highlight of Milan fashion. Fabrics, colours and designs come together in fantastic geometric shapes and essential lines, making their style unique and unmistakeable both in the bridal and the prét-à-porter collections.
