Weddings in Italy. “An unforgettable love story that proves how family, love and imagination conquers all. Rebecca and Danilo are the lovely couple that we opened our 2016 wedding season with. The bride, from Puglia and the groom from Milan. They met in Bari and have been together since. Recognizing real love, they’re country wedding was classy, romantic and original”.

The location they chose was Cascina Boscaccio, only a few kilometres from Milan, with a villa, lake and large park. A typical farmhouse of the region built in the 700’s which has, in time, maintained it’s architectural simplicity, typical characteristics for the area.

On the lake shore, under a pale spring sun, Rebecca and Danilo celebrated their civil union. To wed them was a dear friend of mine, who is also the mayor of a nearby city. She did an excellent job, using some beautiful words, creating fond memories and making the special day even more memorable.

For the catering, they relied on the skill and competence of “Chef d’Autore” who managed to make the best use of the park, surrounding the farmhouse, setting up a rich aperitif under the beautiful gazebo by the lake.

Dinner was served, instead, in the hall of the villa where, for the occasion, “Chef d’Autore” arranged, for the newlyweds, a magnificent imperial table all on the soft shades of pink thanks to the innovative and original flower designer of Cascina Boscaccio, Roland Hess, who had chosen for the occasion hydrangeas, roses and tulips.

The weather allowed the cutting of the cake under the stars and to enjoy the thousand lights of lanterns and candles that made the atmosphere like a fairy-tale.

The reception was elegant but fun, animated by an entire playlist to dance into the night thanks to the mastery of the dj. Rustic but chic touches for the tableau, the decorations, the buffet and the splendid table has made it all really enchanting.

Rebecca and Danilo’s love story and the chronicle of their special day struck a string in our heart and gave us the right boost to kick off this fantastic season. My staff and I wish them all the best, without loosing sight of what made them unique, their simplicity.
