Valentina and Ruggiero are young, beautiful and in love. Their story looks like it came straight from a romance novel: a ten-year engagement that culminated, on a warm September afternoon, in the proverbial knot being tied, as the couple exchanged their vows in the presence of friends and family. Love is the very core of their lives and their wedding day was the perfect celebration of it: an opportunity to share their happiness with those who saw it blossom over the years. Now we want to share the magic of this moment with you all. With these two, love literally is all around and it’s their own kind of love: bright, simple and pure. Valentina is a lively blonde, Ruggiero is the quintessential nice guy next door and they both radiate harmony and charisma. To meet them, is to instantly like them.

Valentina and Ruggiero chose to celebrate their union in the lovely little church of San Fermo Dei Scampi, on the outskirts of Milan. Ruggiero could barely contain his joy as he walked into the church with his charming mother. Valentina rode to the church on a gleaming red Vespa. She looked radiant as she walked down the aisle with her own “super-mom”, who simply couldn’t stop telling her how beautiful she was. Everyone was gazing at her in awe, as she did look just like a modern-day princess, and we noticed the bridegroom’s eyes well up as he waited for her.

Valentina & Ruggiero Italy Real Wedding

After the ceremony, the party moved to Casa Villa, a gorgeous venue just out of Milan. Casa Villa is a charming ancient mansion, surrounded by a lush green park. The day was warm and sunny and you could still smell summer in the air as the guests gathered in what was once the Villa’s barn for a welcome cocktail, lovingly prepared by Chef d’Autore catering. The couple had opted for a wine-themed wedding and Chef d’Autore was up for the challenge and deployed all of its team’s creativity and imagination in decorating the venue and creating delicious recipes. The decoration was perfect down to the last detail: wine crates were made into flower pots, corks were used as placeholders and wine bottles were turned into candlesticks. The overall effect was captivating!

The banquet took place in the woods. The two long imperial tables made for an impressive sight, as they were lit by long lines of candles in empty wine bottles, and decorated by flowers in glass jars of different sizes. Large blue hydrangeas were kept in restored win-crates and the careful light-design carried echoes of a chic-country feast, with a touch of fantasy wonderland. It is hard to believe that Milan is only a few miles away, when you are expecting to see elves and gnomes pop up at any time.

The banquet was followed by a rich dessert buffet, set up beside the dancefloor. Our favourite moment though is always the cutting of the cake. Valentina and Ruggio raised their champagne chalices and gave the go-ahead for their guests to start dancing and go wild for the rest of the evening. It was a memorable party.
