There is no party without confetti!
This tradition has been handed down by the Romans that were accustomed to eat confetti to celebrate marriages and births.
Obviously the confetti of the past were not made with the same ingredients of today, indeed the almond was covered by honey and not by sugar.
The quality of the confetto is determined by the almond and the best are those of Avola (Sicily); moreover also determinant is the sugar quality as well as ratio of the size of the almond and of the layer that covers it.
The tradition suggests that in wedding favors should be 5, like the qualities that should never miss in the life of a groom and bride: health, wealth, happiness , long life and fertility.
Each ceremony imposes a specific color, for wedding the color is strictly white.
